THE READING,
WRITING ROAD TO ADVENTURE! |

Release: Dynamic New Teen Author Encourages Youth
Teenage Bron Bahlmann is an imposing figure at
six foot four inches, dressed in blue jeans and a suit coat. He faces
audiences like a veteran. “I started writing my book at eleven years
old,” he tells students. "It took three years to finish. So if you
don’t give up, you can accomplish whatever you want.” The students
nod, certain that Bahlmann gets what it’s like to be a kid, because he
is one.
“Students listen to Bron because they feel like he understands them,”
said Lynn Willardson, principal of Ephraim Elementary School.
“Our students
were so inspired,” said Principal Allan Thomas of Fairview Elementary.
“They left the assembly eager to get back to class and begin writing.”
Bahlmann’s
30-minute “Reading, Writing Road to Adventure,” assembly not only urges students to explore the exciting journey of
literacy, but also offers encouragement through a highly unusual prop that
illustrates taking small steps toward goals.
Bahlmann’s own
initiative has brought him great success. His book, “Bone Warriors,”
went to the national New York Book Fair in May and was so popular it
required a second printing almost immediately. The story is about two
15-year-old boys who return home to find their village on fire. A warring
necromancer has sent horrifying snake men to kidnap villagers. Now the boys
must brave the deadly Forbidden Woods to rescue their families, but the only source of
possible help comes from a creature they can’t trust.
J. Scott Savage of
“Farworld” fame says, “It’s creepy enough to give you shivers and
exciting enough to keep you reading late into the night. The reader
forgets who the author is and gets lost in the story.”
“I read it three
times,” says 18-year-old Nathanial Knaphus. “It’s so good.”
“I didn’t feel
like I was reading a rehash of all the other fantasy novels on the
market,” says author Tristi Pinkston. “The story is highly
imaginative. He’s not just a good writer for being fifteen… he’s a
good writer, period.”

Dashner says, “’Bone Warriors’ is a great read. I loved it.” |
